Police have now confirmed that 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian has been arrested on suspicion of double homicide.
Concerns were raised when the couple had not been heard from for several days, and officers attended the home on White Oak Avenue in Encino on Sunday.
Inside, Kaye and Deluca were found dead and had both suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
After conducting interviews with family and friends and reviewing surveillance footage, investigators discovered that a suspected burglary call had been made days prior.
Around 4:00 p.m. on July 10, a call was made regarding a possible burglary suspect at the home.
While there were no signs of forced entry or trouble at the location during that investigation, it is now believed that the suspect had gained entry into the home through an unlocked door.
When Kaye and Deluca returned home, the suspect was inside their home.
After a confrontation, the gunman shot and killed them both before fleeing the scene, police said.
“Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
According to Kaye’s IMDB page, she won the Guild of Music Supervisors’ Music Supervisor of the Year Award three years in a row between 2011 and 2013.
She worked on several other shows, including The Singing Bee, Miss USA, Miss Universe, American Inventor, Q'Viva, The Dance Scene, Dance Your Ass Off, Your Chance To Dance, Adventures of Power, and Crashed.
Deluca was a musician, and his latest album was released in 2022, titled Street Rock.
He wrote songs for famous musicians, including Kid Rock, the band Molly Hatchet, and Meredith Brooks, according to The Daily Mail.
The couple is understood to have bought the home in January 2023.
