Donald Trump has slammed radio host Charlamagne tha God, describing him as a “racist sleazebag” with a “low IQ,” after he criticized his presidency.
The Breakfast Club host told Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara, that MAGA backlash over the Epstein files would lead to a more conservative candidate taking back the party.
After Charlamagne’s appearance on My View with Lara Trump, hosted on Fox News, the U.S. president posted a scathing rant on Truth Social.

“The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne ‘The God’ (Why is he allowed to use the word ‘GOD’ when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?),” Trump posted.
“He’s a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done – like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight.”
Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, told Lara that he wouldn’t give Trump’s presidency a good rating “because the least of us are still being impacted the worst.”

He also brought up the Epstein Files – an issue the Trump administration has been grappling to contain after concluding there was no client list and Epstein died by suicide in jail.
“I think there’s a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party that people aren’t paying attention to,” Charlamagne told Lara.
“I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back. I really do.”

“I think that they know this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up, the MAGA base isn’t letting this issue go, and for the first time, they can probably take their party back and not piss off the MAGA base. I think they’re going to do that.”
Early last month, the DOJ and FBI announced that no further files regarding the Epstein case would be released.
It was an attempt to put conspiracy theories surrounding the discouraged financier to bed, but MAGA voters have been in uproar over the decision.

Several people in the Trump administration had previously parroted theories that Epstein was murdered and left behind details on who he sex trafficked young girls to.
During Trump’s presidential campaign last year, he suggested that he would release all files regarding Epstein, but those that were declassified held no new or significant information.
While Trump has lashed out at reporters for continuing to ask about Epstein and has continuously urged people to stop talking about him, questions continue to arise.

A report by the Wall Street Journal claimed that Trump had written Epstein a provocative birthday card for his 50th, which included a naked sketch of a woman.
Trump has denied this and has sued the WSJ.
A further report in the WSJ claimed that Trump was informed by Attorney General Pam Bondi in May that his name appeared several times in files relating to Epstein, alongside hundreds of other high-profile individuals.
There is no suggestion that appearing in those files is a sign of wrongdoing.
