Eric Trump, the third child of U.S. President Donald Trump, made a startling claim about his father and First Lady Melania Trump during a live interview on Newsmax on Monday.
He alleged that the Biden administration tried to orchestrate a divorce between the president and Melania, among other alleged attacks.
Speaking with host Rob Schmitt, Eric Trump, 41, claimed that the Democrats tried to break up his family.

“They tried to get him divorced! They tried to separate our family!” he said.
During the interview, Trump said authorities had raided his father’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and posted his father’s mugshot unnecessarily.
He also said searches had taken place in Melania’s closet and in the bedroom of their son, Barron Trump.
Eric Trump did not provide any evidence to support his allegations about a divorce attempt or family separation.
He made the allegations while defending Trump’s recent actions. When Schmitt played an audio clip of Senator Chuck Schumer saying Donald Trump “has turned this Justice Department into his own political watchdog,” Eric Trump responded, “You don’t understand how humorous this is.”
He then ranted about the alleged mistreatments of the Trump family, even saying they “came after me like I was a dog.”

“They tried to impeach my father two times,” Trump said. “They went after him for a Russia hoax that did not exist that was paid for by Hillary Clinton. The FBI and DOJ spied on my father’s campaign. They deplatformed him.”
He then made some even more serious allegations, saying: “They gagged him over and over and over. They raided his home. They raided Mar-a-Lago … They tried to go after our employees! They attacked us. They tried to bankrupt our company. They deplatformed us!
“They stripped every bank account away from me and the Trump Organization that you can imagine.”
He then named former Attorney General Merrick Garland and -President Joe Biden as those at the helm of the attacks.
“And I get to hear from Chuck Schumer that my father weaponized justice? You must be kidding me,” he added.
He accused the Democrats of orchestrating several attacks on the Trump family
Eric Trump’s interview is one of the rare public comments on Melania Trump from members of the Trump family.
The allegations come amid ongoing public scrutiny of the Trumps’ marriage. Reports indicate that Donald and Melania had a heated exchange aboard Marine One while returning from the United Nations General Assembly.
It was also reported that the couple maintained separate bedrooms during their state visit to Britain.
Earlier in May, Trump biographer Michael Wolff claimed that the couple were essentially “separated,” after a report revealed that the first lady had spent less than two weeks at the White House following Trump’s inauguration.

Eric Trump also blamed the Democrats for two of Trump’s assassination attempts.
He praised his father’s political career, describing it as “the greatest political movement in history.”
