“Amazing Little Girl” Passes A Day Before 9th Birthday After Suddenly Falling Ill At Bus Station
A child who died unexpectedly the day before her ninth birthday has been described as an “amazing little girl” who will be missed by all who knew her.
Olivia Grace Edwards, 8, suddenly became unwell at a park and ride facility in Aberdeen, Scotland, at around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.
Emergency services rushed to the incident on Skene Road, and Olivia was taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.

Police are treating the death as unexplained but say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A family friend has now launched a fundraising page to help pay for Olivia’s funeral, with over £13,700 raised so far.
“My amazing best friends have lost their beautiful baby girl unexpectedly just one day before her 9th birthday. Her parents, sisters, family and friends are all heartbroken,” a statement on the page read.
“Olivia was a beautiful funny sweet amazing little girl and is going to be missed so much by all who knew her.
“Please can you help take some of the stress away by donating to help give this beautiful girl the best send off.”

Olivia’s parents, Mark and Georgina, are now trying to trace a man who tried to save her at the Kingswells Park and Ride facility to thank him.
“The parents of Olivia Grace Edward are looking for the man who tried to help save Olivia at the Kingswells Park and Ride,” an appeal on a local Facebook page posted Monday said.
“They would like to thank him personally for everything he did. Please send us a DM, and we will put you in contact.”
The same community page earlier shared the “devastating” news of Oliva’s passing and sent condolences to the family.
“Devastating news of the passing of beautiful young Olivia Grace Edwards,” the Kingswells Village community page posted.
“Our community mourns this tragic loss, and our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to her family, friends and all who loved her during this unimaginably difficult time.”
Kingswells School Parent Teacher Association and Parent Council also sent its condolences to Olivia’s family and said the community was standing together to grieve.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Olivia’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” it said in a statement.
“We know that the devastating news this weekend has affected everyone in our community, and we stand together in grieving this loss.”
Police Scotland confirmed it was made aware that Olivia had taken unwell and said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
“We were made aware of concern for a child who had taken unwell on Skene Road in Aberdeen around 8.40pm on Saturday, 25 October, 2025,” a spokesperson told the Daily Mail.
“She was taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”
