A MAGA Republican who said he was voting for Donald Trump to fight against child trafficking has been charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
Scott Soucek, 56, was bailed out of jail on a $10,000 bond on July 25 by his wife Stephanie, who is the chairwoman of the Door County Republican Party.
Over 300 illicit images and videos on devices linked to Soucek were discovered during an investigation by the Door County Sheriff’s Office, Meidas News reported.
- Scott Soucek, a MAGA voter backing Trump to fight child trafficking, was charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
- Investigators found over 300 illicit images and videos on devices linked to Soucek during a Door County Sheriff’s Office probe.
- Soucek admitted to downloading child porn in 2009, but the earlier case was not referred to prosecutors at that time.

Soucek was also investigated in 2009 and admitted to downloading child pornography after investigators analyzed his laptop, according to the Daily Beast.
It “remains unclear” why that investigation was not referred to the local district attorney’s office at the time, the new 12-page complaint states.
In posts on his now-deleted Facebook page, Soucek, of Wisconsin, detailed why he was voting for Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
One of the reasons given on his lengthy list was: “I’m voting to fight against human/child trafficking.”
“I’m voting for my children and grandchildren to ensure their freedoms and their future,” another said.

Other activity on his Facebook page included memes alleging that former President Joe Biden groped children and one that told people to leave the U.S. if they thought Trump was a dictator.
In a bizarre post months before his arrest, Soucek wrote that “America is being reclaimed” and that “strategic teams are being activated.”
He described a “slow, methodical storm rolling in from every side” and concluded the storm “is already here.”
The post also spoke about the deep state – an idea that suggests influential people secretly control or manipulate government policy.
“The deep state is in freefall,” Soucek wrote. “Their networks are fracturing – intelligence, finance, tech, media – all bleeding from every joint.”
“We are standing on the edge of the final threshold,” he added. “No more spectators. No more debates. You’re either awake now or you never will be. History is bending.
“And the storm they said would never come…is already here.”

His wife, Stephanie, who has also deleted her social media, was a delegate representing Michigan at the Republican National Convention in 2024.
She was also interviewed by now-FBI director Kash Patel on controversial Trump ally Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast.
During the interview, she urged people to get out and vote for Trump and said the Door County Republican Party was making a lot of advertisements and knocking on doors, campaigning.
Patel praised her efforts and said it was resonating with voters, saying “the crowds from Team Trump’s bus tour in Wisconsin have been phenomenal, and I think that’s due to the work of you and your team out there.”
Soucek has been released on bail and will appear in court on August 29.
