Attorney General Pam Bondi has come under fire from social media users for her rant that was reminiscent of Donald Trump’s signature style.

Bondi appeared on Fox & Friends in the aftermath of the shooting of two national guard members in Washington, D.C., to answer questions when she went on a tirade.

Host Griff Jenkins asked the Attorney General how she felt about claims that deploying the National Guard to states across the U.S. was dangerous for Americans.

Highlights

“We have just witnessed for months several Democratic politicians blasting, decrying the administration’s effort to put Guard troops in cities like Memphis, into these cities like Washington,” Jenkins said.

“You just had one of them, Elissa Slotkin, last week talking about, warning that the National Guard was going to shoot Americans, but yet we saw just the opposite.

“This appears to be a targeted, blatant attack on the Guard troops. Your reaction?”

Bondi replied, “What these lawmakers are doing, what some of these news anchors on other networks are doing, what their guests are saying, is disgusting. It’s despicable.”

“They should be praising our men and women in law enforcement, and we are looking at everything they have said and why they said it and if they encouraged acts of violence.

“But it is, it’s actually sad what our country has come to with these progressive left idiots who are doing this and saying this about our heroes who are keeping them safe,” an incensed Bondi continued.

The comments, made on November 27, have gained attention online, with many slamming Bondi for implying that journalists would be investigated for criticizing the administration.

“So, a Constitutionally mandated and protected free press doesn’t exist in Trump’s America. How is the press itself not pushing back against this assault on the First Amendment? One user wrote in response to the comments.”

Another added, “Why is she like this? Why does she talk like this? Why does she seem like she’s been lobotomized? I seriously can’t understand her as a human being.”

“Well so much for ‘Freedom of Speech’,” a third user wrote.

One commenter questioned, “Are we serious here? We are not North Korea or Russia. F**k off.”

Bondi’s comments came after two National Guard troops were shot just blocks from the White House on Wednesday, November 26.

Sarah Beckstrom, 20, succumbed to her injuries the following day and Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains in hospital.

Authorities have named the alleged gunman as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national who entered the U.S. after its chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

While Lakanwal entered the U.S. under the Biden administration’s Operation Allies Welcome program, he was reportedly granted asylum this year under the Trump administration.

Bondi said that prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Lakanwal, 29, who once worked alongside the CIA in Afghanistan.

“I will tell you early, we will do everything in our power to seek the death penalty against that monster who should not have been in our country,” Bondi told Fox & Friends.

According to reports in the New York Times, Lakanwal was part of CIA-backed Zero Units, which carried out counter-terrorism operations such as night raids and targeted operations during the U.S. war in Afghanistan.

In the final days of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, Lakanwal’s unit was reportedly moved from their base in Kandahar to the capital, where they helped guard the Kabul International Airport as thousands evacuated.

As Kabul fell to the Taliban, Lakanwal was evacuated under a U.S.-led program, with the his record of collaboration being the basis for his entry into the U.S.

Hey Americans, you know those 2nd Amendment rights you're so proud of? Remember why you have them? It's so you can stand up to tyrants who try to take away your other rights. Maybe think about that for a minute, just saying.
