A photograph of U.S. President Donald Trump at the U.S. Open on Sunday has sparked a new wave of online speculation.
After rumors about Trump being dead over the Labor Day weekend, a new image shows Trump, 79, about to bite down on a small blue object, prompting even more speculation about his health.
The picture was taken during the men’s final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

Andres Kudacki, an award-winning Argentine photographer now living in New York, captured Trump seated alongside White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Kudacki initially wrote on X that the president was taking a “tablet.” Later, when asked by the Daily Beast about the photo, Kudacki said he was unsure what the object actually was.
“I don’t know what it was specifically,” Kudacki said. “I said it was a ‘tablet’ as that works for both, a mint or a tablet.”
Kudacki added that he did not see Trump remove the object from a container. “He was very discreet,” he said.

The photo quickly went viral online, with social media users speculating about whether Trump had taken a mint, a pill, or something else entirely.
Some suggested the blue object might be a Wintergreen Altoid or another type of mint, raising the question of why he would hold it between his teeth if it were medicine.
Others speculated it could be prescription medication, citing the blue, square-shaped appearance of certain pills, including some used for high blood pressure.
Some theories ran wilder, speculating it was Viagra, or even an antidepressant like Lexapro.
The White House has not clarified what Trump consumed during the tennis match.

Trump’s health has been the subject of public attention in recent months. The hashtag #TRUMPISDEAD was trending online during Labor Day weekend.
These claims were fueled by his brief absence from public appearances and visible signs such as bruised hands and swollen ankles.
The White House attributed the bruises to frequent handshaking and aspirin use.
It also confirmed that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where veins struggle to return blood from the legs to the heart.
His blood pressure, according to an April report, was 128 over 74, which is considered slightly elevated. The report noted that he takes rosuvastatin and ezetimibe for cholesterol, along with aspirin.

In 2017, it was revealed that Trump was taking finasteride to treat baldness.
Trump attended the match with family members and aides, including granddaughter Arabella Kushner and former senior adviser Jared Kushner.
Of all theories, the mint theory has the most basis, since the president is known to like Tic Tacs.
In 2016, The Washington Post wrote about a conversation with Trump in 2005, where he spoke about using Tic Tacs to improve his breath.
Trump told Billy Bush, “Yeah, that’s her with the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful… I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet.”
Tic Tac later condemned Trump’s comments, writing in a then-Twitter post, “Tic Tac respects all women. We find the recent statements and behavior completely inappropriate and unacceptable.”
However, without direct confirmation from the White House, it is impossible to know exactly what Trump consumed on Sunday.
