Donald Trump sent a rambling and bizarre email to supporters, saying he was alone and in the dark, claiming that failure to meet an imminent fundraising deadline would mean disaster for the country and his political movement.
In the message sent to his donor list, Trump said he was sitting alone in a “war room” late at night after staff had gone home, with what he described as a failing laptop and a countdown clock marking a “mid-month deadline.”
- Donald Trump sent a late-night fundraising email claiming he was alone in a war room with a failing laptop and a 72-hour countdown.
- Trump warned that missing a mid-month fundraising deadline would hand the House and Senate to Democrats and end the MAGA movement.
- The email urged supporters to donate $47 immediately, claiming political opponents are spending billions to undermine him.
He urged supporters to “act fast” and repeatedly implored them to “hold the line,” as he insisted Democrats would flip the House in the midterms if his voters did not donate.

While the email was sent from contact@win.donaldjtrump.com, a verified fundraising address for Trump’s campaign, it is not clear if it was written by the president himself or drafted by his campaign staff.
The email, verified by the Archive of Political Emails, read, “Some people are saying: This is SAD! I’m sitting here. Alone. In the war room. Fighting for you. The rest of the staff went home hours ago. It’s just me, one dying laptop, and the 72-hour countdown clock to my first mid-month deadline of the year just RANG.”
“If we don’t crush my first mid-month deadline of the year, the radical Left flips the House and Senate in 2026 and finishes what they started: Open borders forever Your guns confiscated Your kids brainwashed And worst of all, your favorite President (ME!) might just go through another FAKE impeachment!”

The email also accused political opponents of spending “billions” of dollars to undermine both Trump and his supporters, though no evidence was offered.
Trump wrote that missing the fundraising deadline would cause the “MAGA Movement” to collapse and repeatedly urged readers to “hold the line” and donate $47 immediately.
Concluding the email, Trump confessed that he was fearful “the end is near,” adding, “The woke mind virus is infiltrating more and more Americans every day. This could be our last chance!”

The email has since gone viral after left-wing influencer Harry Sisson shared screenshots of it on X.
Sisson wrote, “Trump sent this creepy email to his supporters last night saying he’s ‘alone and in the dark’ and he’s writing the message from a ‘dying laptop.’ The only way to help him is to donate your money to him. Disgusting grift. Very weird!”
While some social media users expressed disbelief at the email and suggested it might be a scam, the email originated from Trump’s verified campaign fundraising account and appears to be a legitimate fundraising message.
It comes after Trump detailed his fears of a November loss in the midterms at the House GOP Member Retreat at the Kennedy Center earlier this month.

Recent polling shows Democrats leading and positioned to flip the House, where Republicans currently hold a slim majority.
A poll conducted by YouGov and The Economist last week found that 44% of voters would vote for the Democrats if an election were to be held immediately, while 40% favored the GOP.
Trump told lawmakers that he believes a third impeachment could be on the cards if Republicans fail to maintain control of the House.
“You gotta win the midterms,” Trump said. “Because if we don’t win the midterms … they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.”

Trump was impeached twice during his first term in office, although he was acquitted in both instances by the Republican-led Senate.
The president also expressed frustration at his dwindling support, telling lawmakers, “I wish you could explain to me what the hell is going on in the mind of the public.”
He further noted, “They say that when you win the presidency, you lose the midterm.”
