U.S. President Donald Trump attended the Washington Commanders game against the Detroit Lions at Northwest Stadium in Maryland this Sunday, and fans weren’t pleased.
Only last week, Trump had demanded his name be plastered on the Washington Commanders’ new $3.7 billion stadium, and he is willing to sabotage the stadium deal if his demands are not met, sources said.

- Trump demanded the new $3.7 billion Washington Commanders stadium be named after him.

Videos shared online captured the crowd’s loud jeers as Trump stood alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as he led the military ‘Oath of Enlistment’ to swear in new troops.
The crowd’s reaction only grew louder during the ceremony.

The boos followed Trump’s recent demand to name the new stadium, planned for completion at the site of the RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., in 2030, after him.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told ESPN, “That would be a beautiful name, as it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible.”
Trump, who wants the Commanders’ name changed back to the Redskins, attended the game as a guest of Josh Harris, the team’s managing partner.
Insiders told The Daily Beast that Trump had private communications with Harris to discuss Trump’s branding of the stadium.

Trump received a Washington Commanders jersey marked with the number 47 (47th president of the U.S.) from Harris.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles also joined Trump at the game.

Trump shared his thoughts on sports, saying, “I just love it. It’s a microcosm of life. You got to get through the problems to hit the triumphs, and you can never quit, you can never give up.”
Trump also appeared alongside FoxSports commentators Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma, offering play-by-play commentary during halftime and parts of the game from the Fox NFL commentary box.

“I will say that your second string, your backup quarterback, is a good quarterback, and he’s had some very good games for you. And your first-string quarterback back has the potential, I think, to be a great quarterback. He’s got to stop the injuries somehow,” Trump told Albert when the host asked him if he would like to call the play as the game resumed.

Trump also made comments like “not bad,” “good runner,” and “they have to get a touchdown, forget about the play,” as the game continued.
Social media users responded to the video from the match, with one user calling it “savage.”
Another said, “America’s had enough and they’re making it loud and clear.”
Conservative influencers criticized the crowd for booing. Right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson called the reaction “disrespectful.” Another account called the crowd “gutter trash Commanders fans” and labeled the boos “disgraceful.”
Wow. Doesn’t get much more disrespectful than this.

Chaya Raichik, known online as Libs of TikTok, blamed Democrats, writing, “Absolutely disgusting. Democrats have no respect for our brave troops who put their lives on the line to protect our country. Democrats hate America.”
The Commanders lost to the Lions, 22-44.
Trump is no stranger to boos at sporting events. He faced jeers earlier this year at the FIFA World Cup final, a Yankees game, and the U.S. Open men’s singles final.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has often mocked Trump online, shared a video of Trump being booed on social media, captioned, “Hahahahahahhahahahaha.”
