“We’re very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy,” the post says. “Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.”
The post continues, “During this exciting and hectic time, we are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure that we can serve while enjoying a wonderful life with our children.”

The announcement follows months of social media speculation after a warm, extended embrace between JD Vance and Erika Kirk, the wife of the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, last October.
Around the same time, Vance made a public statement about his wish for his Hindu wife to follow his journey to Christianity.

A spokesperson for the second lady said she is a busy mom who “does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”
Last month, an edited image went viral online, showing Vance sitting across from his wife in a restaurant booth, scowling in a white T-shirt.
“I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife,” Vance commented on the post on X.
Last month, he brushed off the internet rumors about the couple, telling NBC News that the duo “kind of get a kick out of it.”
Well, netizens had many things to say about the latest announcement, too.

“Our marriage counselor also suggested another baby once the wife and I realized we had a loveless union. solved the problem! hoping Dad gets paternity leave. maybe forever! 💛” one user wrote sarcastically.
“Wonder if they will allow him citizenship,” said another.
A third said, “thank god nobody is talking about epstein anymore.”
Social media users trolled the couple, making edits of the baby with Vance’s face
In February 2025, a photo of a bald and bloated Vance became widely circulated. That photo has since become a super viral meme and has continued to follow the vice president online.
In March, Vance told Blaze Media he was aware of the memes and found them “a funny trend.”
Netizens shared different edits of that photo in response to the pregnancy announcement.

A third edit was made to a photo of Usha and JD in the hospital, holding their fourth child, but the child had Vance’s meme face. “If the baby doesn’t come out looking like this I am going to be VERY disappointed,” the post said.
“They had something to prove,” one X user said, while another joked, “they’re about to birth the antichrist.”
A Facebook commenter said, “Oh no, South Park will have new material for a plot twist on Satan’s baby.”

One user criticized Usha Vance, saying, “Just so we all understand correctly, Usha Vance will be having her 4th brown child with a racist whose only agenda is to have people like them harmed, detained, murdered and of course deported.”
“Congrats to Usha Vance on her pregnancy with yet another brown child that her husband’s political movement wants to deport,” said Democratic commentator Kaivan Shroff.
Many users criticized Usha Vance and made references to Erika Kirk
Many also mentioned Kirk in their comments, with one person saying, “U know Erika be devastated rn,” and a second commenting, “Erika Kirk finding out Usha Vance is pregnant again,” along with an image of Kirk looking to the side with wide eyes.
A third noted, “Usha Vance became pregnant around the time of ‘the hug’ Interesting!”

“Would be funny if Erika Kirk announced she was pregnant at the same time, Awkward,” said a Facebook user.
Another likened it to an episode from the TV show Scandal, when “Millie got pregnant to avoid the political rumours because the Firz and Olivia sex tape got leaked.”
