Former Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has slammed senators for failing to support GOP Rep. Thomas Massie.
Massie has become a frequent target of Donald Trump after breaking with party leadership to push for the full release of the Epstein files, oppose foreign military intervention, and vote against Trump’s sweeping spending bill.
- Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed GOP senators as 'cowards' for not supporting Thomas Massie amid Trump's attacks on him.
- Thomas Massie broke with party leadership over Epstein file transparency, military intervention, and Trump's spending bill.
- Trump attacked Massie’s loyalty, backing a challenger and claiming Massie’s wife is a 'radical left flamethrower.'
His pushback on those issues has put him at odds with the president and his supporters, who are now actively trying to oust him.

Greene, a former Trump mega-supporter turned critic, described Republican senators as “cowards” for refusing to stand by Massie after Trump launched further personal attacks on the congressman and backed a challenger in the race for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District.
In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump suggested that Massie’s wife was a Democrat and publicly backed Ed Gallrein, a retired Navy SEAL, in the race against him on May 19.
“People are saying that Thomas Massie became a Liberal because his new wife, blessed be their marriage, is supposedly a Radical Left ‘flamethrower,’” Trump wrote.
“This new union all went so fast that maybe he didn’t know what he was getting into but, nevertheless, he is an absolutely terrible and unreliable ‘Republican’ — Perhaps a RINO, or maybe even worse!”

Trump added, “Ed Gallrein, a Farmer and War Hero, is running against Massie. He is a HIGH QUALITY individual, and there is no Candidate for Congress that could be better.
“He is running because he realizes Thomas Massie has been totally disloyal to the President of the United States, and the Republican Party. He never votes for us, he always goes with the Democrats. Thomas Massie is a Complete and Total Disaster, we must make sure he loses, BIG!”
Greene was quick to call out Trump’s latest remarks on X, saying he treats his biggest supporters like “crap” and that Massie’s wife voted for Trump three times.
“Thomas Massie votes with the President 91% of the time, but won’t vote to protect Epstein’s sick pedophile and rapists friends or send American’s hard earned tax dollars to Israel’s wars or any other foreign country,” Greene ranted.
President Trump treats those who support him the most like crap.
Thomas’s wife voted for him 3 times. She’s not a “radical left flamethrower.”

“The President should be more concerned with voters, who put him in office, like Thomas Massie’s wife, not super rich donors and their favorite foreign countries and business demands.”
Calling out GOP senators, she added, “And all the weak Republicans in the House stay silent refusing to utter even a word of support for their ‘friend’ Thomas Massie. Shame on every one of you. Cowards. You make me sick.”
Like Massie, Greene broke with party ranks to join Democratic senators in pushing for transparency over the Epstein files, supporting a petition that eventually passed and required the DOJ to release all documents relating to Epstein.
With Greene also criticizing Trump’s foreign policy, the president soon turned his ire on her and branded her as a traitor and a lunatic while promising to back a primary challenger against her.

The public feud ended with Greene resigning from Congress after she announced that Trump’s attacks had led to significant threats against her and her family.
Massie also responded to Trump’s latest attack in a post on X, writing, “So now he’s attacking my wife who voted for him three times. Maybe someone told him she’s actually the one who suggested I ask Pam Bondi in person at a dinner when we would get Phase 2 of the Epstein files. Bondi said there were no more files. As they say, the rest is history.”
It is not the first time the pair have publicly feuded, with Trump posting about the GOP senator several times previously on his Truth Social platform.

Massie, alongside Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, spearheaded the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act in a bid to force the DOJ to release the Epstein files last year.
After significant resistance at first, Trump eventually announced his support for the measure, and the DOJ was ordered to release the files, with millions of those documents published over the weekend.
As well as being at odds with Trump over the files, Massie voted against Trump’s signature spending package, dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” over concerns about deficit and debt increases. More recently, he has publicly criticized Trump’s airstrikes and other military actions.
